ALL YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
What makes your cookware non-toxic?
Our ceramic nonstick cookware is lead- and cadmium-free, and made without potentially toxic materials including PTFE, PFOA, and other PFAS, which are used in traditional nonstick coatings. PFAS are nicknamed "Forever Chemicals," because they do not break down easily in the environment or in the human body. PFAS-based coatings can also release toxic fumes when overheated. The absence of forever chemicals in our nonstick means they won’t release toxic fumes, even if you accidentally overheat your pan.
How is nonstick ceramic cookware different from 5-ply stainless steel cookware?
Our nonstick ceramic cookware is non-stick and easy to clean, and is perfect for cooking eggs and delicate proteins over low-to-medium heat. Our 5-ply stainless steel cookware is perfect for higher heat applications such as searing.
Should I handwash my cookware, or can I put it in the dishwasher?
Hand wash only please. Dishwashers can be harsh on the non-stick surface. For best results, always allow your cookware to fully cool before hand washing with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge.
Is Nonstick Ceramic cookware induction compatible?
Yes, our nonstick ceramic cookware works well with any cooking surface, including induction, gas, and electric.
Is Nonstick Ceramic cookware oven safe?
Yes, our nonstick ceramic coating can be used in ovens up to 500 F.
How do I (properly!) cook with Nonstick Ceramic?
Always cook on low to medium heat. We recommend preheating your pan over low heat for 90 seconds before adding oil or butter. Avoid high heat cooking, which can damage the non-stick coating over time. Use with silicone, nylon, or wood utensils. Do not use metal utensils with nonstick ceramic cookware, as their sharp edges can scratch and damage the coating.
Should I use butter, oil, or cooking sprays with Nonstick Ceramic?
Yes. While the ceramic coating lets you cook with less oil than traditional pans, using a small amount of oil or butter helps distribute heat and will extend the lifespan of your cookware. We recommend using a high smoke point oil like avocado or grapeseed. Do not use cooking sprays or spray oils as these can lead to a sticky buildup on the cooking surface.
How do I safely handle my pans when cooking?
When handling hot pots and pans, you should always use a pot holder, oven mitt, or dry dish towel. Lift lids at a slight angle to guide steam and condensation back in the pan. Use a trivet when placing your cookware on the counter or table.
What is the return policy for cookware?
Cookware may be returned for a full refund or exchange within 365 days of the purchase date, as long as items are new, unused, and in original packaging.
