        These are a mess with wrinkles and creases out of the packages while the silk is an odd texture that looks worn out. They also have hints of yellow and gray in them. The side of my house I hung these on receives several hours of direct sunlight and even though these have a double liner they are not at all "blackout curtains"; the window is completely visible and I have wood blinds under these curtains. After a few days with these hanging creased and wrinkled I attempted to get the wrinkles out so I placed them in the dryer on air fluff no heat for 5 minutes. One curtain shrunk 3 inches in length and some in the width, because now the liner is too big and hangs higher than the other; the other curtain appears unchanged. I had purchased an add-on liner in hopes of making them black out. Now I will have to either hire a seamstress to match them or attempt to shrink the other or buy a third...then I'll really have fun and see if the one that appears unchanged truly is. I have had many faux silk curtains that looked much neater than these out of the package and easier to care for. Goodness, I just threw them in a full wash and dry once every couple of months and they last for decades. I even set a timer for air fluff no heat for 5 minutes. I have had other real silk wears & clothing over the years that I could hand wash, machine dry on low and iron with no damage. Expensive for how fragile and messy they are. Be patient I guess...wait a month or 3 for them to look like the pictures.
