Start by measuring where you actually wear your belts—at the natural waist for dresses, or at the hip for jeans. From that measurement, size up by 2 inches. Belt sizes generally run S (30–32"), M (32–34"), L (34–36"), and XL (36–38"). The size chart includes total length and hole-to-hole detail if you need a closer reference.

Thin belts (under 1 inch) are the most refined, ideal for high-rise jeans with a tucked-in top, elevated trousers, or as an accent on a slip dress. Standard widths (1–1.5 inches) are the everyday go-to, sized to fit most belt loops. Wide statement belts (2–3 inches) are meant to be seen—cinch them over blazers, dresses, or oversized sweaters for waist definition. As a general rule, match belt width to belt-loop width, or skip the loops entirely for a wide statement belt worn over a layer.

Italian full-grain leather has a smooth, polished finish that develops a patina naturally over time. Vintage leather is pre-distressed from the start, with antique brass hardware that complements the lived-in texture. Italian leather is a sleek pick for office and dressy occasions; vintage works best for casual days and weekends. Both age beautifully.

Wipe with a damp cloth after wear to remove dirt, and condition with a leather balm every 6–12 months to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking. Avoid soaking or getting it very wet—water spots are difficult to fix on smooth Italian leather. Store on a belt rack or coiled loosely in a drawer to prevent kinks.
