For a safe and simple way to clean your gemstone jewelry at home, wash in a bowl of warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap. Do not soak gemstones for a long period of time. Use a clean, soft toothbrush to gently scrub away any remaining dirt, especially in hard to reach places like under the stones or in the basket. Rinse soap off with water and pat dry. Avoid the use of ultrasonic cleaners, particularly with softer gemstones such as emeralds, opals, pearls etc.
