Washable silk is 100% mulberry silk treated so it can be machine-washed at home on a gentle cycle — the same fiber as traditional silk, finished to skip the dry cleaner. The drape, weight, and luxury hand are intact; the maintenance is the difference. Most silk blouses at specialty retailers are dry-clean-only; Quince's are not.

For business casual: the washable-silk three-quarter-sleeve shirt, the stretch-twill pleated short-sleeve shirt, or a 100% European linen long-sleeve in a neutral are the office-friendly anchors. They hold structure through a workday, layer cleanly under a blazer, and (for the silk and linen) wash at home. The Quince washable silk goes in the machine on a gentle cycle, cold, with like colors — hang dry, no dryer. European linen washes the same way and softens with each cycle; iron damp for crisp, skip for a soft rumple. Organic cotton tees and tops tolerate normal machine washing on cold; tumble dry low. Always read the product care label for blends (cotton-modal, cotton-cashmere) — those want gentler handling.
