CARE
Teak Frame
- Because we use untreated natural solid teak, each piece's finish will naturally weather from golden brown to a silvery-grey patina over time. To slow this process, apply a teak sealer or protector. Sealing is optional but recommended if you prefer to maintain the wood's golden tone. Without sealing, weathering is normal and does not affect durability.
- Apply sealer once or twice per season, or when water stops beading on the surface. We recommend Golden Care or Star Brite, though other quality teak sealers work as well. Clean and allow the frame to dry completely before sealing.
- Teak contains natural oils that may rise to the surface, especially in humid climates or after rain. This is normal and does not indicate damage. To manage oily residue, wash the frame with a stiff-bristle brush and a diluted dish soap solution (1 part soap to 10 parts water). Do not use oil-based cleaners or additional oils, as they can trap moisture and damage the wood.
- Scrub the frame weekly with a stiff-bristle brush, brushing in the direction of the grain to remove dirt and debris. For deeper cleaning, use a heavily diluted dish soap and warm water solution. Let sit for five minutes, then wipe with a soft cloth or hose off and allow to dry completely.
- Clean stains promptly with a stiff brush. For stubborn stains, use a diluted wood cleaner or sand lightly with fine-grit paper (150–220 grit). Avoid steel wool, scrubbing pads, or metal brushes, which can damage the wood.
- Water stains are common and usually fade as the wood weathers. Applying teak sealer helps reduce water staining. To further minimize them, dry the frame promptly after rain or cleaning. For persistent stains, lightly sand with fine-grit paper following the grain, then wipe clean and allow to dry.
Cushions and Fabric
- Cushion covers are upholstered in Sunbrella fabric, which resists stains, fading, and mildew. For everyday cleaning, use a soft-bristle brush with a mild soap and warm water solution. Gently scrub the fabric, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry completely before use or covering.
- Address stains promptly. Use mild soap, warm water, and a soft-bristle brush. For tougher stains, you may lightly scrub the fabric but avoid abrasive tools. Rinse well and allow to dry completely.
- Water stains on cushions are usually temporary and may fade over time as the fabric dries. To help, dry the cushions immediately after rain or cleaning using a soft cloth to blot excess water. Ensure cushions are positioned to allow water to drain freely through the mesh bottom panels.
- Unzip the mesh panel to allow water to drain and air to circulate. Always ensure cushions are completely dry before covering or storing—allow 24–48 hours in humid climates and position upright when possible. For extended storage, keep cushions stored separately indoors.
- If mold or mildew develops, soak the affected cushion in a solution of 1 part bleach to 20 parts water for 15 minutes. Then clean with a soft-bristle brush and diluted detergent, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and allow to dry completely in sunlight or a well-ventilated area.
Covering and Storage
- Each piece comes with custom-fitted covers. Always use the included covers when the furniture is not in use, ensuring both frame and cushions are completely dry before covering to prevent moisture and mildew buildup.
- For extended storage, store cushions separately indoors in a dry space. Ensure all pieces are clean and dry.

Your outdoor dining chairs are delivered via free white glove service and arrive fully assembled — the delivery team brings them into your space, places them where you'd like, and removes all packaging.

Every furniture item ships via our complimentary white glove delivery service, regardless of size. Once your order ships, our carrier, Metropolitan, will reach out to schedule a delivery date and a 4-hour window. On delivery day, they'll call ahead, bring your piece into your room of choice, complete any assembly, and remove all packaging. Most items arrive fully assembled or require only light assembly, which the white glove team completes for you upon delivery.

After your order ships, you'll receive tracking details and an email from Metropolitan to schedule your 4-hour delivery window. The team calls when they're about 30 minutes away, then places your furniture exactly where you'd like it, completes any necessary assembly, and takes away all packing materials. Please note that our white glove service includes one delivery attempt; for each additional attempt, Quince will charge a fee of 15% of the total order value, so we recommend measuring carefully before ordering to ensure your item fits through all doorways, hallways, and elevators. Our carrier is also unable to handle any non-Quince items, such as furniture or rugs already in your home.
