High-thread-count sateen feels noticeably smoother and holds up well through repeated washing. For everyday sleep comfort, sateen offers polished durability. Both are proven upgrades, not luxuries.

Hand or machine wash on a silk or delicate cycle in a mesh bag with cool water and a silk-safe detergent, or hand wash. Hang dry only — heat damages silk fibers. If ironing is needed, use a low setting with a press cloth between the iron and the fabric. Skip bleach entirely.

Standard (20" × 26"), queen (20" x 30"), king (20" × 36"), and Euro (26" × 26"). Most luxe pillowcases are sold individually, so you can mix-and-match fabrics across your bed.

Lifespan varies by fabric and care frequency but averages around 5 years. Silk pillowcases typically last several years with proper handling—hand or delicate-cycle washing and hang drying extend their life considerably. Sateen and organic cotton hold up well through regular machine washing and tend to last longer with gentle care. Replace when fabric thins noticeably, the opening stretches out of shape, or staining becomes persistent.
