Question 1

What is included in a sateen deluxe bedding bundle?

Accepted Answer

Each bundle includes a fitted sheet, flat sheet, two pillowcases, a duvet cover, and matching pillow shams. Exact pieces and sizes are listed on each product page. Buying the bundle is more efficient than building the set piece by piece.

Question 2

What does sateen weave feel like?

Accepted Answer

Sateen uses a four-over, one-under weave that brings more cotton threads to the surface, producing a smooth, silky drape with a slight sheen. The hand-feel is closer to soft satin than crisp cotton. Sateen traps a little more warmth than percale, which makes it a favorite for cold sleepers and cooler bedrooms.

Question 3

Should I choose sateen or percale?

Accepted Answer

Sateen feels softer and silkier and traps a little more warmth; percale sleeps cooler and breathes more. Cold sleepers and shoppers who prioritize a silky drape usually prefer sateen. Hot sleepers usually prefer percale. Sateen runs smooth; percale runs crisp. Both wash and wear well over time.

Question 4

Are Quince sateen pieces organic cotton?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Quince sateen bedding uses GOTS-certified organic cotton — grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers and audited at every stage from farm to finished textile. The certification means the cotton has fewer residual chemicals than conventional cotton.

Question 5

How should I wash sateen bedding?

Accepted Answer

Machine wash cold or warm on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Skip fabric softener — it coats the cotton fibers and dulls the sateen sheen over time. Tumble dry on low. Sateen pieces hold their sheen and softness for years with gentle care.

Question 6

What does OEKO-TEX certified mean for sateen bedding?

Accepted Answer

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is a third-party certification confirming the textile has been tested for harmful substances — including residual chemicals from dyes, finishes, and processing — and meets limits well below standard regulatory thresholds. It is the most widely recognized chemical-safety certification for bedding.
