The organic cotton Oxford in white is the classic business-casual pick — tailored, breathable, layers cleanly under a blazer or sweater. The stretch-twill pleated short-sleeve shirt is the warm-weather office alternative. The washable-silk three-quarter-sleeve is the dressier pick for client meetings or dinners. The European linen long-sleeve is best for casual-Friday or summer offices where wrinkles read intentional.

Oxford is a basket-weave cotton — slightly textured, heavier hand, more casual. Poplin is a smooth tight weave — crisper, lighter, dressier. Both are durable; Oxford softens faster while poplin holds a crisp press longer. Quince's organic cotton Oxford runs heavier and more relaxed; the stretch-twill button-downs lean closer to poplin in finish.

The 100% European linen is woven at a midweight that is opaque in most colors. White and flax can read slightly translucent in direct sun — pair with a slip or nude camisole if that is a concern. Darker colors (deep navy, black) and patterns are reliably opaque.

Both wash the same: machine wash cold on gentle, tumble dry low or hang dry. The Oxford holds a crisp press longer — iron damp for sharp collars and cuffs. Linen relaxes after the first wash and softens with each cycle; press damp for crisp or skip for a soft, rumpled look. Both improve with wear.
