Question 1

What will I find in the dining room sideboards and cabinets collection?

Accepted Answer

Our dining room sideboards and consoles are crafted from oak, reclaimed oak, and FSC-certified mahogany, with details like handwoven rattan panels and a genuine marble top. They give you warm, practical storage and a handy surface for serving when you host.

Question 2

What's the difference between a sideboard and a console table?

Accepted Answer

A sideboard gives you closed storage behind doors, which is handy for serveware, linens, and entertaining essentials. A console table has a lighter, more open look with a top surface and sometimes a lower shelf. Choose a sideboard for storage, or a console for display.

Question 3

Which wood finish is right for my dining room?

Accepted Answer

Oak brings a warm, natural look with visible grain and knots, while reclaimed oak adds rustic character. Mahogany offers a rich, refined finish. Choose oak or reclaimed oak for a relaxed room, or mahogany with rattan or marble for a more polished look.

Question 4

What storage features do the sideboards have?

Accepted Answer

Several of our sideboards have adjustable interior shelving, so you can fit tall serving pieces, stacked plates, or table linens. Some also feature soft-close hinges for a smooth, quiet close, and adjustable levelers help them sit steady on uneven floors.

Question 5

Why does each reclaimed oak piece look different?

Accepted Answer

Reclaimed oak has a rustic character, with visible knots, nicks, and natural imperfections, so no two pieces look exactly alike. Planks may cup or bow slightly over time, and small cracks are part of the wood's unique charm.

Question 6

How do I care for a wood sideboard?

Accepted Answer

A soft, damp cloth is all you need for everyday dust and spills. Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh solvents, and dry any water so it doesn't sit on the surface. Marble tops need a mild, pH-neutral soap. Check the care instructions on each product page.

Question 7

What other dining room collections should I shop?

Accepted Answer

You can also shop dining tables, dining chairs and stools, dinnerware, table linens, and lighting.
