Oversized Sweaters

Six oversized styles across two materials in Canada. Mongolian cashmere covers the Oversized Crewneck Sweater, an Undyed version of the same crewneck, the Oversized V-Neck Sweater, and the Oversized Boyfriend Cardigan Sweater. 100% organic cotton covers the Oversized Cable Cardigan and the Oversized Cardigan. Oversized fit means the sweater is intentionally cut larger than a standard fit — typically with dropped shoulders, a roomier torso, and a longer body length. The boyfriend-fit cardigan takes this further, evoking a borrowed-from-his-closet silhouette with a notably looser hand-feel. Quince's oversized styles use the same fiber grades and construction as the standard line; only the proportions are relaxed. They are designed for layering, or for an effortless, slouchy look on their own.

Most customers stay with their standard size in oversized styles — the cut already accounts for the looser fit. If you normally wear a medium, the oversized medium will run noticeably larger than a standard medium. Size down for a more controlled silhouette through the shoulders and hips. Size up only if you want an extra-slouchy look, for example the Oversized Boyfriend Cardigan worn open over a coat layer. Size guides are on each product page.

Care varies by material. For the cashmere styles — Oversized Crewneck, Undyed Oversized Crewneck, Oversized V-Neck, Oversized Boyfriend Cardigan — hand wash cool or use the wool/delicate machine cycle in a mesh bag, then lay flat to dry. For the organic cotton styles — Oversized Cable Cardigan and Oversized Cardigan — machine wash cool on a gentle cycle and tumble dry low or hang dry. Oversized knits are heavier when wet, so support the full garment when moving it and never hang it to dry. Store folded, not hung.
