Sham Sets

Pillow shams are decorative — typically with a structured front face and a wrapped envelope or hidden-flap closure on the back. They're meant to dress the top of the bed during the day and usually come off at sleep time. Pillowcases are functional sleeping covers, open on one end. Most styled beds use shams alongside everyday pillowcases — the shams anchor the top layer; the pillowcases sleep underneath.
