ALL YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

What's the difference between a turtleneck and a mockneck?

A turtleneck has a tall, foldable collar that doubles over and sits high on the neck — designed for warmth and traditional styling. A mockneck has a shorter, single-layer collar that rises 1–2 inches but doesn't fold. Mocknecks layer more easily under blazers; turtlenecks add visible warmth on their own.

Which material is warmest?

Yak wool and Mongolian cashmere are the warmest fibers in the collection — both naturally insulating and finer than merino. Merino wool is breathable and works best for layering under heavier pieces. 100% organic cotton turtlenecks are the lightest weight, suited for early fall and spring.

How does an oversized turtleneck fit?

True to size with intentional room through the body and arms. The cashmere oversized turtleneck is sized to layer over a base layer or to wear loose with leggings or jeans. If you want a fitted look, size down one.

How does Quince cashmere compare to other cashmere brands?

We use 100% Grade-A Mongolian cashmere — 15.8 to 16.2 micron fiber thickness, sourced from Inner Mongolia goats — the same fiber quality you'll find at premium cashmere brands. The difference is sourcing: by working direct with the cashmere supply, our Mongolian Cashmere Turtleneck stays at $89.90 rather than the price tags premium brands typically attach to comparable cashmere. How do I wash a cashmere turtleneck?

Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent, or machine wash on the delicate cycle in a mesh laundry bag. Lay flat to dry — never hang a wet cashmere sweater, as it will stretch. Store folded, not hung. Avoid wire hangers and direct sunlight.

Can a turtleneck be worn under another sweater?

Yes — a thin merino or cotton turtleneck layers cleanly under a crewneck or v-neck sweater for added warmth without bulk. Avoid pairing two heavyweight knits; pick one fitted base layer and one looser outer layer.

What should I layer with turtlenecks?

Layer under blazers, cardigans, and sweaters for added warmth. Pair with jeans, trousers, and skirts for complete outfits. Add jackets, scarves, and boots for cold-weather looks. Wear cashmere turtlenecks on their own for elevated, polished occasions.
