ALL YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

How big is a linen napkin?

Standard dinner napkins are 18-20 inches square — folds neatly under cutlery, drapes over a lap, fits the proportions of standard dinner plates. Cocktail napkins are 5-6 inches; not what we sell here.

Are linen napkins worth switching to from paper?

For most households, yes. The cost amortizes within a few months of regular use, and the experience is meaningfully better. The catch: you need a small basket near the table for collected used napkins so the laundry routine works.

How often should I wash linen napkins?

After every meal where they're used heavily. For light lunches where they're mostly decorative, every 2-3 uses. Wash on cold gentle with mild detergent.

Will the napkins shrink?

Slightly on first wash — we pre-wash to minimize this, but natural linen shrinks 2-3% in length. Hemming accounts for the shrinkage in our sizing.

How do I get stains out?

Treat fresh stains immediately — cold water from the back of the fabric pushes the stain out rather than deeper in. Mild detergent and a soak for stubborn stains. Avoid bleach on colored linens.

Can I iron linen napkins?

Yes — iron on linen setting while slightly damp for the crispest finish. For everyday use, line-dried or tumble-dried linen with a quick fold has a softer, lived-in look that suits casual meals.
