Cotton Cashmere

Cotton cashmere bedding is a blended-fiber fabric — typically long-staple cotton paired with a smaller percentage of Mongolian cashmere. The cotton provides the structure and durability needed for sheets and covers; the cashmere adds softness, lightweight warmth, and a luxurious hand-feel.

Cotton cashmere feels softer and silkier than pure cotton, with a slightly warmer hand-feel from the cashmere fibers. The drape is closer to sateen than percale. Pure cotton percale runs cooler and crisper; cotton cashmere runs softer and warmer.

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent — or a wool-safe detergent for extra care. Skip fabric softener. Tumble dry on low or lay flat to dry. Cashmere fibers are more delicate than pure cotton; gentle care preserves softness for years.

Generally yes. The natural fibers (cotton and cashmere) are gentler against skin than synthetic blends, and the silky drape reduces friction. OEKO-TEX certification confirms low residual chemicals from dyes and processing.

A small amount of pilling can occur with any cashmere blend after extensive use, particularly in high-friction areas. Quince uses long-staple cotton + premium Mongolian cashmere to minimize pilling. A cashmere comb can remove any pills that do form.

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is a third-party certification confirming the textile has been tested for harmful substances and meets limits well below standard regulatory thresholds. It is the most widely recognized chemical-safety certification for bedding.
