Mulberry silk is produced from silkworms fed exclusively on mulberry leaves — the result is a longer, more uniform fiber that produces a smoother, more lustrous, and more durable finished textile than wild silks or other silk types. It's the silk benchmark used in luxury bedding and is what Quince builds the entire silk bedding line on.

Silk is genuinely temperature-regulating in both directions. The fiber breathes more aggressively than cotton percale in warm weather (the smoothness reduces friction-generated heat against the skin) and traps body heat more efficiently than cotton in cold weather. Year-round bedding for most sleepers, especially those with sensitive skin or hot flashes.

Machine wash cold on the silk or delicate cycle in a mesh laundry bag, using a silk-specific or mild pH-neutral detergent. Skip fabric softener and bleach. Hang dry only — never tumble dry, which can damage the fibers. Iron on low silk setting if needed. Hand washing extends the life of the sheets even further.

Some. The smoothness is part of the silk experience — pillowcases that don't tug at hair, sheets that slide cleanly. Fitted sheets with deep pockets and elastic stay anchored to the mattress, but the top sheet does shift more than a cotton sheet. Some sleepers prefer this; others tuck the top sheet under the mattress.
