ALL YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

What linen shirt silhouettes does Quince offer?

Eight, all in 100% European linen: relaxed long sleeve, relaxed short sleeve, camp collar (one-piece notch collar, designed to be worn open), utility shirt (chest pockets, military-leaning cut), banded collar, dress shirt, long-sleeve with chest pocket, and a linen jersey polo. Three of the silhouettes are also available in a wrinkle-resistant finish for travel and dressier settings.

What is 100% European linen — and where does it come from?

"European linen" specifically means the flax is grown and processed in the European linen belt — primarily Belgium, France, and Italy — where the climate, soil, and mills have produced the world's most respected linen for generations. The flax fibers are longer and more uniform than non-European sources, which is why European linen wears softer and lasts longer. Our linen is mill-sourced from those same mills.

Are these linen shirts wrinkly or see-through?

Linen creases — it's a defining trait of the fabric and part of why shoppers buy it. Our linen is garment-washed and pre-softened, so the wrinkles look intentional and lived-in rather than crisp-and-broken. None of our linen is see-through; the weave is dense enough for full opacity in standard light, including white and off-white colorways. If you want a less crinkled look, the wrinkle-free styles solve that without losing the linen feel.

What's the wrinkle-free linen shirt — is it still real linen?

Yes, it's still 100% European linen — the fabric is identical to our standard linen. The difference is a finishing process applied at the mill that crosslinks the fibers at a microscopic level, which lets the shirt resist deep creasing through wear and packing. You'll still see soft surface texture (linen's natural character isn't removed), but the shirt holds shape in a garment bag and comes out of a suitcase without ironing. Picked for travel, dinner reservations, and business-casual settings.

How should I care for 100% linen?

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors. Tumble dry low or hang dry — linen finishes best when air-dried while still slightly damp. Don't bleach (it weakens the fibers) and don't use fabric softener (it coats the fibers and reduces breathability). Linen relaxes a little after the first wash — that's expected, not shrinkage. To press: iron while damp on a medium-high setting; or skip the iron entirely if you like the lived-in look.
