Cashmere

Quince's men's cashmere sweater collection uses 100% Grade-A Mongolian cashmere across crewneck (the everyday classic), V-neck (the layering staple), turtleneck (the cold-weather pick), half-zip and quarter-zip (the casual-elevated layering option), and shawl collar (the dressed-up casual silhouette). Some styles come in tipped versions with contrast color at the collar and cuffs.

Grade-A is the highest cashmere quality grade. The fiber length is longer (typically 36mm or more) than lower grades, the fiber diameter is finer (typically under 19 microns), and the result is a softer hand, smoother drape, and better shape retention across washes. Mongolian cashmere comes from cashmere goats in the Mongolian highlands where harsh winters produce the longest, finest undercoat fibers. Quince uses Grade-A across the entire cashmere line.

Most cashmere sweaters run true to size with a close-to-relaxed fit through the body. Sleeves end at the wrist with ribbed cuffs. Crewnecks and V-necks fit close-to-relaxed; turtlenecks fit closer to body for warmth and clean lines under coats; half-zips and quarter-zips fit close-to-relaxed with the zip allowing adjustment. Size up for an oversized layered look; true to size for the intended silhouette.

Hand wash cool with mild wool detergent — or use a dedicated cashmere care service for the most careful cleaning. Lay flat to dry on a towel — never hang wet cashmere (the weight of water stretches the shoulders and body) and never tumble dry (heat felts the fiber). Store folded with cedar to deter moths. With proper care, Grade-A cashmere holds shape, color, and softness across many years of wear.
