Lotus Tees

Suvin cotton is one of the rarest cotton varieties grown — cultivated in limited quantities in southern India. It has exceptionally long staple length (which produces a softer, smoother yarn), silky hand against skin, and a natural sheen that distinguishes it from standard cotton. Quince's Lotus Tees use 100% Suvin cotton because it produces a tee with elevated drape and exceptional softness that's hard to replicate with other cotton varieties.

Lotus Tees use Suvin cotton — a rarer cotton variety than Pima or standard organic cotton. Suvin has even longer staple length than Pima, producing a softer hand and more natural sheen. The trade-off is rarity and price — Suvin cotton is grown in much smaller quantities than Pima, which positions Lotus at a higher tier in the cotton tee assortment.

Choose Lotus when the tee is the visible layer rather than hidden under another piece — office-casual settings, dinner-out, weekend looks where you want the tee itself to read elevated. For everyday workhorse rotation under sweaters, blazers, or for active days, the standard Pima or organic cotton tees remain the practical pick at a lower price point.

Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle, tumble dry low or hang dry. The Suvin cotton softens with each wash without losing its silky hand. Wash dark colors with similar tones for the first few washes to set the dye. Avoid bleach. The natural sheen and silky drape hold across many wash cycles when cared for this way.
