Petite patterns adjust four things at once: inseam length is shorter (typically ~2-3 inches shorter on pants and jeans), torso length is shorter (waist and bust hit higher), sleeve length is shorter (cuff sits at the wrist on a smaller frame), and shoulder seams move inward.
