Oversized fit means the sweater is intentionally cut larger than a standard fit — typically with dropped shoulders, a roomier torso, and longer body length. The "boyfriend fit" cardigans take this further, evoking a borrowed-from-his-closet silhouette with a notably looser hand-feel. Quince's oversized line uses the same fabric grades and quality construction as the standard line — only the proportions are intentionally relaxed. Designed for layering or for an effortless, slouchy look on its own.

Most customers stay with their standard size in oversized styles — the cut already accounts for the looser fit. If you typically wear a Medium, the Oversized Medium will run noticeably larger than a standard Medium. Size down (to your standard minus one) if you want the oversized look but a more controlled silhouette through the shoulders and hips. Care varies by material. For cashmere (Oversized V-Neck, Oversized Crewneck, Oversized Boyfriend Cardigan, Wide-Rib Collared Cardigan): hand wash cool or wool/delicate machine cycle in a mesh bag, lay flat to dry. For organic cotton (Oversized Cable Cardigan, Oversized Cardigan, Cotton Linen Crew): machine wash cool gentle, tumble dry low or hang dry. For alpaca (Baby Alpaca Oversized Cardigan): hand wash recommended, lay flat to dry. For merino wool (Oversized Turtleneck): hand wash or wool/delicate cycle, lay flat to dry. Avoid bleach. Oversized styles benefit from extra care when wet — fabric weight stretches more when waterlogged.
