Maxi

A maxi dress falls to the ankle or floor — typically 50–60 inches from shoulder to hem depending on the cut. Our maxi dresses are designed for a true floor-grazing length in standard sizing. If you're petite (under 5'4"), some styles will pool slightly at the hem, which can be styled intentionally (the draped look) or hemmed by a tailor. European linen is the standout for warm weather: it breathes better than any other natural fabric, wicks moisture away from the body, and gets more comfortable the hotter the environment. The tiered linen maxi in particular creates excellent airflow. Organic cotton poplin is also breathable and structured, though slightly warmer than linen. Washable silk is thermoregulating — naturally cool against the body even in warm conditions — and adds a more elevated quality for outdoor evening events like summer weddings or garden parties.

The key is in the accessories: a simple pair of heeled sandals or strappy mules and understated jewelry elevate the silk styles to formal occasion territory. For outdoor events with a less strict dress code (outdoor weddings, garden parties), linen and organic cotton maxi dresses are entirely appropriate and often more comfortable than a traditional formal dress.
